Not at all. Beginners are welcome! We’ll teach your child the fundamentals from the ground up while allowing more experienced students to continue developing their skills.
-
Our program focuses first on learning technique, control, proper fundamentals, and discipline. Partner drills are carefully supervised, and any contact-based training is introduced appropriately based on age and skill level.

To get started, your child will need a pair of boxing gloves and hand wraps. As they progress, additional protective equipment such as shin guards, headgear, or a mouthguard may be recommended depending on the type of training.
Boxing gloves are measured by weight rather than hand size. For children ages 4–12, 6 oz to 10 oz gloves are commonly used, but the right size depends on the child’s age, body weight, hand size, and the type of training.
As a general starting point:
Ages 4–6: 4–6 oz
Ages 7–9: 6–8 oz
Ages 10–12: 8–10 oz
These are general guidelines rather than strict rules. A properly fitted glove should feel secure without being overly tight and should allow enough room for hand wraps. For partner drills or sparring, coaches may require different or heavier gloves for added protection.
If you are unsure what to purchase, we recommend speaking with one of our coaches before purchasing equipment. We can help you choose the appropriate glove size and gear for your child based on their age, size, and training needs.

Yes. For the safety and well-being of all participants, a parent or legal guardian must remain at the gym for the entire duration of their child’s class.
This policy ensures that a responsible adult is immediately available should an emergency or unexpected situation arise. It also allows for a smooth and timely transition at the end of each youth class, as the gym prepares to welcome our adult members for their scheduled training sessions.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming training environment for everyone.
